For the evolution and growth of the Milan Design Experience team within Haier Europe, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Industrial Designer with 8+ years of experience.

The ideal candidate should feel confident to work in a multidisciplinary team of Industrial designers, UI/UX designers and Strategy designers in an international environment, with EU market focus within a global production sites footprint.

What you will do

Main activities:

He / She has an education in product design with outstanding product aesthetical capability and a sensibility on how appliances will impact and blend with specific domestic scenarios.

3D modelling and visualization skills are required to manage, structure and design coordinated range of products within the above-mentioned scenarios and to interact with marketing teams cross Product Lines (PL).

Comprehension of the large-scale manufacturing constraints is crucial and knowledge on main production technologies (metals, plastics and glass) and brand sensibility will be essential to interact with PL R&D teams.

As part of the Industrial design team, he / she will be mainly focused on:

• Interaction with internal stakeholders (Product Liens R&D and Marketing Team)
• Interaction with cross-functional stakeholders (consumer Insights /Brand /IoT Team)
• Interaction with external consultants and suppliers
• product (experience) conceptualization
• industrial design development and refinement
• 3D modeling – rendering

He / She will have the opportunity to work in an environment that curates a multi-brand strategy (Haier, Candy, Hoover) to be applied in cross product categories, covering a wide range of products, from small to big domestic appliances.

What you need to succeed

Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in industrial design or related.
• A least 8 years of experience in a structured and international environment, in Design Consultancy and/or Corporate Company.
• A portfolio of Industrial design work (please submit the portfolio link)
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Italian and Chinese are considered a plus
• Excellent communication skills and an ability to work with cross-functional teams
• Excellent in 3d software (Solidworks/Rhino & Keyshot preferred. Fusion 360 is a plus).
• Outstanding visualization and sketching skills (Wacom & Digital sketching)
• Organizational skills and attention to detail
• Motivated, self starter who likes to stay busy
• Team player who has a positive attitude when given creative feedback and who knows how to inspire other team members and to provide feedback
• Ability to quickly jump from one category to another
• Great problem-solving skills

Nice to have

• Experience in Interior design / Furniture Design
• Know how in consumer testing and Prototyping supervision
• Know how in UI field (applied to products)

• Know how in the CMF field
• Experience in AR/VR
• Experience in Interior design / Furniture Design
