Job Description:  

As a Configuration Control Engineer at Accenture Industry X, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the configuration control process for our clients’ aircraft and helicopter design projects. You will play a fundamental role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of product configurations throughout their lifecycle. 

Key Responsibilities:  

Configuration Management: Establish and maintain configuration management processes, procedures, and standards in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements (e.g., FAA, EASA).  

Change Control: Lead the review, assessment, and implementation of proposed changes, modifications, and updates to aircraft and helicopter configurations. Evaluate the impact of changes on performance, safety, and regulatory compliance.  

Documentation Control: Manage documentation of aircraft and helicopter configurations, including technical drawings, specifications, bill of materials, and technical data. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and traceability of all configuration-related documents. 

 Version Control: Establish and manage version control systems for engineering projects, software, and other configuration items. Implement procedures for monitoring and managing revisions, updates, and versions.  

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, production specialists, and quality control personnel, to coordinate configuration changes and resolve discrepancies. Facilitate communication and collaboration to ensure alignment on configuration-related issues. 

 Compliance Assurance: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, airworthiness requirements, and customer specifications related to aircraft and helicopter configurations. Conduct audits and assessments to verify adherence to configuration control processes and procedures.  

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and increased efficiency in configuration management practices. Implement improvements to enhance accuracy, transparency, and agility in managing aircraft and helicopter configurations. 

Job Qualifications

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.  
  • 3-5 years of experience in configuration management or a similar role in the aerospace industry, preferably in aircraft or helicopter design. 
  •  Strong knowledge of configuration management principles, standards, and tools (e.g., CMII, PLM software).  
  • Familiarity with helicopter and aircraft systems, structures, and components.  
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.  
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality.
