Firmware Design Engineer


Job Description

 We are looking for a highly motivated firmware engineer to develop, implement and validate embedded firmware used on chillers equipment and CRAC being part of a multicultural ang highly skilled team.

What will you do?

  • You will work on specifics requirements which are discussed with the product design leader.
  • You will have to translate the requirements in algorithm to be uploaded in unit PLC controls and to develop th human interface application as well.
  • If necessary, you will have to work jointly with other company functions (R&D team and Offer Quality Engineering, Customer Satisfaction & Quality teams, Marketing and Application Engineering).
  • You will join the IoT revolution where all Schneider connected products will provide key information to allow predictive, advanced maintenance & remote troubleshooting.
  • Contribute to new firmware development following products specs, developing functional debug check lists, and following such activities during Laboratory sessions.
  • Contribute to the quality improvement of the products on current portfolio collaborating with Cooling LOB Offer Quality Leaders.
  • Contribute to release new cooling products with connected capabilities allowing predictive & advanced maintenance enhancing remote troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Contribute to the constant L4 Technical Support team Knowledge improvement by creating Knowledge sharing contents.
  • Participation to validation tests on Cooling Products.
  • Visit customers WW to discuss and analyze unsolved technical issues on Cooling Products.
  • Share technical knowledge and daily experience within the team.
  • Team-working, solidarity and networking between Cooling LOB teams.

What qualifications will make you successful? 

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering preferably in thermodynamic or energetic field.
  • Excellent C programming language skills
  • Excellent ability to verify, validate and debug C code.
  • Good ability to develop and to write SW/FW specification.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and diagnostic abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work within a team development environment.
  • Ability to manage and aggressively push project deadlines.
  • Habit to work in an international contest and organization with intercultural skills, team spirit, result oriented & open mindedness
